NOW 10: Fields vs Taylor

New Ohio Wrestling and Kickmaster Footgolf presented NOW 10: Fields vs Taylor – LIVE

New Ohio Wrestling (NOW) was proud to announce its next event in Grove City, OH on Saturday November 10th, 2018 at Kickmaster Footgolf located at 1700 Dyer Rd, Grove City, Ohio 43123.

Door opened at 6PM and Bell Time was 7 PM.

Here is the results for NOW 10: Fields vs Taylor

  • "The Made Man" Gino DeCapo v "The Dominican Hercules" Luis Casanova

This was the NOW debut of “The Made Man” Gino DeCapo and he did not disappoint. He is cocky. He is arrogant. And he is mean. Although a fantastic debut for Gino, he just could not overcome the power of “The Dominican Hercules” who hits DeCapo with a fireman’s carry into a neckbreaker for the win.

  • WarHorse (Crosshairs Kelly & Pat The Bruiser) v The Elec-Truck Company (Chuck The Truck & "Electric" Jake Ely)

A match of power versus finesse with power coming out on top. A very good tag team match with Jake getting the short end of a vicious Pat The Bruiser clothes, sending WarHorse to the pay window. Both teams were impressive and will be a force in the New Ohio Wrestling tag team division.

  • Paragon v “The Baddest Man Alive” Aaron Williams

At New Ohio Wrestling’s debut at the Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens Expo, Aaron Williams was scheduled to be a participant in the very first Anarchy at the Arnold tournament. But due to an unfortunate knee inury, Williams had to withdraw from the tournament.

To replace an injured Williams, NOW management gave a newcomer a shot to show what he has and fill Williams’ spot. And that newcomer was Paragon. This kid came out of nowhere and almost made it to the finals of the whole tournament, surprising everyone.

At the end of the day, this match was a no-brainer. The man who had to withdraw from the tournament versus the guy that took his spot. A very good back and forth match that ended with a vicious kick to the head to get the three count.

*Match 3 in the Best-of-5 Series* (Series tied 1-1)*

  • "The Natural" Ethan Wright v "Sweet Dreams" Sless Taylor

With the series tied 1-1, the feud has been nothing less than phenominal. Even after this Best-of-5 series is over, something tells me that these two will not be done with each other.

A match of the night candidate for sure, this match delivered in a big way. Back and forth non-stop action that ended, unfortunately, with a low blow from Ethan while he had the refs attention. This opened Sless up for the Impaler DDT and, just like that, Ethan Wright goes up 2-1 in the Best-of-5 series.

  • “Unchained” Brandon Day v “The Handlebar Haberdasher” Marion Fontaine

A clash of styles if there ever was one. Fontaine loves to have fun but isn’t afraid to break out his pugilistic skills when needed. Brandon Day is just flat out mean and nasty. This match is one of those matches where you have no idea what is going to go down. Even with the clash of styles, this match was had show stealer written all over it. Although a ton of fun to watch, this match was a classic chess match between two fantastic athletes.

Brandon Day was done dealing with Fontaine’s shenanigans and went for his chain. He went to use his chain on the dome of Marion Fontaine but senior referee, Keith “Papa Smurf” Smith, grabs the chain leaving Day open for a sunset flip from Marion Fontaine for the win.

*Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens Expo Qualifying Match*

  • Robby “Super” Starr v "The Black Superman" Onyx

A matchup of power, for the last spot in the 4 man tournament, to crown the first ever Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens Expo Champion. A back and forth battle that ended up with a big spear from Onyx leaving Robby Starr flat in the middle of the ring, sending Onyx to the Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens Expo Championship tournament.

*NOW Championship Match*

  • “The Professional” Brandon Fields v “Darkstar” Matt Taylor

The match for the New Ohio Wrestling Championship. I think everyone in the building expected a crowning of a new champion with “The Darkstar” being the heavy favorite, despite being the challenger.

The two men definitely went to war, with Brandon Fields surprisingly holding his own. Matt Taylor goes to superkick Fields and Fields pulls the Papa Smurf in front of him who takes the kick full force. Taylor ties Brandon Fields up in the Koji Clutch, where Fields taps but Papa Smurf is down and out.

This brings Ripper up on the apron to do what he does best. And that’s cheat and cause distractions. After Fields knocks Taylor out cold with Rippers cane, the end looks to be near for Taylor.

Tired of the shenanigans of Blackhart, Marion Fontaine and “The Half Pint Punk” Eric Smalls come out and chase Ripper to the back leaving Fields all alone with “The Darkstar”. Ripper comes back out covered in silly string, which gives Robby Starr a chance to come out and help Fields.

At the end of this crazy match, all of the distractions was just too much for much Taylor, as Fields retains the New Ohio Wrestling Championship with a series of nasty clotheslines.
